    Naval Academy FAQs

What is the Naval Academy Business Services Division?

The Naval Academy Business Services Division (NABSD) is the retail side of the U.S. Naval Academy. We are a Non-Appropriated Fund Instrumentality (NAFI) Program. NABSD consists of twelve departments operating nineteen business units across the Naval Academy and Naval Support Activity (NSA) Annapolis grounds. 100% of our proceeds benefit the Brigade of Midshipmen.

What is the mission of NABSD?

To excel in the delivery of retail products and services in support of the Brigade of Midshipmen.

Where can I find information about the Naval Academy?

If you are interested in attending the USNA, or are looking for information about the Academy, the United States Naval Academy website is the best place to start.

Can I shop at the Midshipmen Store?

The Midshipmen Store is not open to the public. Authorized patrons of the Midshipmen Store include the Brigade of Midshipmen, their parents, alumni and their dependents, as well as U.S. Naval Academy faculty and staff, Blue and Gold Officers, and other groups as authorized by the U.S. Naval Academy.

There are two other shopping venues that are open to the public: The USNA Gift Shop and Navyonline, both of which offer tax-free shopping and give 100% of their earnings to the midshipmen.
